I am appalled at the dehumanising description of one of the models in the caption for the second photo – “Female at left”?!?!??! Put aside a moment the fact that, strictly speaking, “female” is an adjective and not a noun – the creeping spread of “cop-speak” is both belittling and degrading. I would expect better from people writing for a style-based magazine – some sophistication with language, at the very least. If ever I saw my daughter described as “female at left”, I think I would blow a gasket.
You can do better.
Lovely editorial.
Regarding the previous comment, I have never read such an unfounded opinion in all my life. Since when did the word ‘female’ become blasphemy? Lighten up.
