Shawn Hlowatzki, the national trainer for Smashbox Canada, will be behind the scenes for Ottawa Fashion Week.
Smashbox, a Los Angeles-based cosmetics company, which is a partner with OFW, was founded in 2006 to create products for makeup artists who work on photo shoots. Smashbox landed on the fashion map when it created its “photo finish” primer.
Here’s a list of what’s in Hlowatzki’s beauty tool kit this weekend, all from Smashbox:
More than Primer Dark Spot Correcting. Newly launched last month, this product with the tongue-twister name reduces dark spots and acne marks and brightens skin while reducing fine lines and pores.
Luminizing Primer can be worn with or without foundation to add luminosity to the complexion. It fills in fine lines and pores and extends the life of foundation.
Halo Powder is a hydrating and perfecting loose powder containing goji berries and gold. It is worn over primer and foundation.
Halo Bronzer is a universally flattering hydrating powder containing gold and 48 minerals. It is applied to the cheeks, forehead, chin and the bridge of the nose for a radiant glow.
Hydrating Under Eye Primer. Just launched last month, this primer is formulated for the fragile area under the eyes. It brightens the under-eye area and helps keep concealer looking fresh.
O-Gloss, is an “intuitive” lip gloss that slicks on clear and reacts to skin chemistry to produce a personalized shade of pink. This gloss won two Sephora Awards, one for best lip gloss and another for best innovation.
Full Exposure Mascara creates the longest, fullest lashes for the camera by layering fibre mascara over volumizing mascara.
Nude Lip Liners are matched to the tone of the model’s lips to create natural, full lips.Smashbox Brow Tech to Go contains two brow powders — a lighter one to fill in the brow and a darker one to define — and a wax, which keep the brows in line.
