Effortlessly treading the runway to Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die on Day 2 of Ottawa Fashion week, Serendipity’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection was truly to die for.

Alberta designer Kelsey McIntyre created a Parisian delight with a soft palette of sheer peach and robin’s egg blue upon deep noir and crème accents on vintage inspired silhouettes.

Spring through summer with Serendipity is a gentle medley of Victorian lace, delicate sequined chiffon and darling Peter Pan collars. The Serendipity girl is timelessly chic, gracing us with her extroverted femininity — think Zooey Deschanel or Michelle Williams.

With slender pencil skirts and soft yet structured laced blazers, Serendipity’s collection is perfect for the professional woman looking to inject a taste of whimsy-couture to her otherwise monotonous black and white wardrobe.

A favourite was the charming hummingbird print sheath, oh so perfect for the blossoming days of spring.

Ottawa Fashion Week saw a string of beautiful designs; Serendipity without doubt indulged fashion lovers with its alluring vintage charm.
